Samsung Galaxy S5 Active released in U.S.

The more rugged version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is officially released in the States. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has been show thanks to American AT&T mobile carrier. It's a logical step in the developing process of Samsung's new flagship device. The main difference between the two models is still in robust design Active has. As the name says, the Active is aimed to those who love to be active and not willing to give up high end specs.

In visual term, Galaxy S5 Active has more angular body, with more sharpen angles. Also, this indestructible phone has three hard buttons at the bottom of the screen instead of typical capacitive ones. Also, the new Active has a back placed key dedicated to app for outdoor use. The rubberized strips along the top and bottom are indicating Galaxy S5 Active wants to be different. But, as it brother, this Samsung has IP67 certificate, and it's shock resistant.

The Active hasn't loose any of specs values that original Galaxy S5 has brought, including heart rate monitor. The last year Galaxy S4 Active was perfect for underwater photo sessions, but this time the attention is on the dry land activities. The phone has Ultra Power Saving mode which allows 24 hours of talks and texts with just 10% remaining battery, which is very convenient for longer staying outside.

The AT&T has valued the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active at $715 off the contract. Still no word about the phone price and sell in Europe.
