Nokia X released
Nokia X Android and Windows Phone in one
Nokia X is proof that the Finnish company has never stopped experimenting with Android. Nokia X uses a remade Android that largely resembles the Windows Phone. The phone has all Android services, while I find the interface retains the shape WP platform. However, now appears the first problem there. Nokia X doesn’t have access to the Google Play Store, or even services like Gmail, Chrome, Google Maps and so on. However, Android apps will be able to find place on this phone with minimal costs required by the application developers. Nokia has offered a solution in the form of its own Store, which, according to them, will have hundreds and hundreds of apps, but let's wait and see how this will work. All pre-installed applications can be found on the home screen, there is no other place where they would be held, but you can spread them apart or collapse in sizes you suits the best. Notifications are grouped in a similar way as in Asha phones. According to preliminary information, using this interface is slow and annoying, even for the most popular applications, such as those for social networks. The cause of this lies in the fact that this is still Android OS, which requires far more hardware than Windows Phone. For example Lumia 520 with similar specs, but the Windows Phone OS, works like a clock. An additional problem is that Nokia X runs on Android Jelly Bean version, the meaning of outdated options and services.Nokia X design and specs
As Lumia 525 is not much different from the Lumia 520, the same way Nokia X isn't different from the second one. And here are the same visual proportions and colors in offer, as well as the display of 4 inches. Nokia definitely don't want to be on the top with Nokia X. On the contrary, it’s a low-specs phone, with only 4GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM, but fortunately with microSD slot. Nokia X has dual SIM support. In fact, the only difference from the model Lumia 520 is that Nokia X doesn’t have three capacitive buttons below the screen. Nokia X has a disappointing 3MP camera and only one button to navigate through the functions. When the button is pressed once it works as a back button, while longer holding takes to the home screen.Nokia X first impressions
If you still wondering why Nokia made this phone, the answer lies in the fact that the Finns wanted to combine the flexibility of Android OS and the Nokia's and Microsoft 's services, such as Mix Radio, Here Maps, OneDrive, Outlook, Skype and Bing as the default search engine. Did they succeed? I don't know, but it’s certain that Nokia X may become a milestone in the development of smartphones.Categories
