What is 4G definition

4G telecommunication is fourth generation of mobile wireless standard. This 4G definition should replace the 3G, which download speed should be up to 100 Mbit/s (high mobility - in the cars and train) and up to 1 Gbit/s (low mobility - pedestrian). There are two commercial systems developed: LTE (Long Term Evolution) and WiMAX.

4G definition can give you comparison of 3G (3GPP LTE) and 4G. 3G peak download at is 100 Mbit/s (Peak upload - 50 Mbit/s), and with 4G is Peak download 1 Gbit/s (1000Mbit/s) with Peak upload of 500 Mbit/s.

4G definition provides HD mobile TV, 3D TV, mobile ultra broadband internet, IP telephony and video conferencing. New smartphoneswill have space to give us even more mobile services, with computers, HD TV and gaming consoles in our pocket.

Countries that are testing 4G LTE or WiMAX are: Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, Cameroon, Ghana, Japan, Jamaica, Norway, Peru, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and USA.

5G technology is developing since 2011, but by some predictions, it should be ready for commercial use around 2020.
