A Chromebook as an alternative to Windows XP

The people are simply in love with Windows XP. After Microsoft announced that this OS is going to be out of support, many users start asking themselves what shell they do now. From now they can't rely on the system they has been using for a years. The simplicity and the beauty of easy use of Win XP was giving us is now under the mark of quaestion, just because Microsoft want to go on and continue on developing Windows 8. So, the question is which OS should we turn to now? For some Linux is an alternative, but many of us are still out of the question about the "penguin" platform. What else do we have? Mac is not as close same as Windows and Apple is overpricing its devices. Well, the only real option is Chromebook. This Google developed devices could be something Windows laptops were all these years.

The Chromebooks are much cheaper that other laptops

The price is the first reason why Chromebook is better that upgrade to newer Windows OS. You can entry the Chromebook world with only $199 (for Acer C720). For some more power you will need more money, and that means Samsung Chromebook 2, with its starting price of $319. If these prices makes your head blow, just to remand you that the same powered Windows laptop cost about $500. Even some cheaper Apple laptops are about $1,000. Plus, the Google is offering some discounts to companies which decide to switch to Chromebook.

The Chrome OS is much safer that other OS

If you're concerned about safety, the Chromebooks are the real things for you. I'm pretty sure we all had some issues with viruses under the Windows OS. No matter how Microsoft was updating its OS, the system would be still venerable to all kind of viruses and malware. The Chromebook is something completely different. The laptop system powered by Google is virus free. Of course, this system isn't 100% secure of hackers’ attacks, but still there's a little chance to be exposed to outsourced entries. There is some antivirus software to use, which makes this kind of laptops the most secure of its kind.

The Chrome is Linux based OS

We mentioned that some of you might be in favor of Linux. The Chrome OS is exactly Linux based OS, so many of Linux software can be install on Chromebook. It means Chromebook is compatibly with Linux. Beside that, Chrome OS is far more reliable when the updating is about. This system is taking more care about this that Windows, Linux or Apple.
