HTC Desire 610 Review
HTC Desire 610 Design
You can pick one Desire 610 of three available colors (white, red and dark blue). The quality of the phone isn't something to worry about. Ok, you can't compare this plastic body with mighty One M8, but this phone looks very good. The back side is made of shiny plastic, which is resistible to smaller scratches, but not to fingerprints. The front side is completely different. It has mat finish, which prevent phone of slipping out the hands. Beside, it has a visual booming effect. Maybe Desire 610 is little chubby phone. It has 153.1 x 70.5 x 9.6mm and it wouldn't be bad for him to cut the lunch portions. But, don't be sad about it. It fits nicely to hand (thanks to the rounded edges), no matter it has 143g in weight. Maybe it isn't the lightest and the slimmest, but certainly it's one of the most remarkable phones at this moment. The reasons for some grams extra are larger bezels around the screen and stereo front facing speakers.HTC Desire 610 Display
I'm still not sure why somebody wants to spoil all the good things in one device. The Desire 610 has nice outfit, but an average screen resolution gives a bad taste in mouth. With 960x540 pixels on 4.7-inch you can't expect HD miracles, already decent working conditions. The HD displays are already standard for mid range devices, so it's understandable why HTC cut pixels here. Unfortunately, the image quality isn't too bad. The colors are accurate, and the brightness prevents sunlight to transform display into a mirror. The viewing angles are good, so it’s pretty much is ok here.HTC Desire 610 Specs and Performances
Our old friend is under the hood. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 on 1.2GHZ is paired with 1GB of RAM memory. The phone is speedy and it does the job very good. Sliding through the home screens, menu and apps is smoothly task. If you don't plan to use Desire 610 for heavy 3D gaming, it should do all your commands on time. The demanding games are still available to play on this phone, but with lags and with less passion than on more powerful phones. When you insert the nano SIM card into a slot (which isn't easy) the Desire 610 starts its engine. It comes with 1GB of RAM and it seems as very suitable driving force for a mid range device. For most users, the Desire 610 will work perfect. The lags and working delays are present only when you want to take a max from this machine. The 3D gaming isn't something HTC created this phone for. Honestly, the phone will run even the more demanding gaming titles, but it won't be able to give an experience like some more powered phones. With 8GB you will be forced to buy a microSD card to extend the memory. When you ensure you have a space for up to 128GB, you will be in position to explore all multimedia potentials of this phone. The Desire 610 has stereo front facing speakers for a great audio enjoyment. This HTC's new model is equipped with 2,040mAh battery. It's an average battery with just one full day on normal or even heavy use. The 610 is working on 4.4.2 KitKat Android with Sense 6.0 UI, with a lot of useful features and BlikFeed as a trade mark of HTC's smartphones.HTC Desire 610 Camera
The camera is very standard for mid range smartphones. The 8MP sensor produces some great and some not so great photos. In the bright daylight Desire 610 can shoot very good, rich in details and colors photos. When the light is gone, the noise is overrunning photos, which is quite usual for this kind of cameras. The full HD recording is available and the video quality is very solid, maybe better then the photos are. The front facing camera has 1.2MP and it works very well. It's ready to give you some very good selfie or video call.HTC Desire 610 Verdict
This is a very decent phone. Maybe it doesn't have some spectacular parts and features, but everything is on its place and work well. The price is maybe little above his real value, but since this is a fresh thing from HTC, the real price is something to wait for. If you're a big screen fan and you prefer solid and unusual design, this HTC is a right thing for you. The competition is ready. They are numbered and willing to takeover you from Desire 610. The Moto G and Xperia M2 might be proper alternatives. Think of it. Photos: htc.comCategories
