Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type - review

Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type is interesting phone from Nokia released in 2010. In year 2012 this is still interesting phone, which can respond to competition and many modern models. Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type combines old school and new wave: numerical keypad and touch screen.

Design

Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type, as we said, great combination of old keypad and new touch screen technology, giving you good combination of tradition and modern access. Keypad is numerical, 4 columns in 3 rows (4 vertical and 3 horizontal lines), which can help you in fast typing. Above characters is hardware keypad, for answering calls, messaging key and media key. Touchscreen is2.4" resistive, 240 x 320 pixels which is not the biggest display that you saw, but for navigating on the web or managing music is more than enough. With dimensions of 106.2 x 48.4 x 9.6 mm and weight of 77g is very light phone, which can fit in every hand. It's available in dark metal, white silver, pink, petrol blue and lilac color.

Specifications of Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type

Brain of X3-02 is 1GHz processor, which more than impressive for such "average" model. There is classical and standard Symbian OS, which is a bit rigid, but if you like Symbian - you will not notice.

Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type supports 3G, so HSDPA, HSUPA and GPRS will provide you fast web browsing. There is WiFi connections, as well as Bluetooth and microUSB connector.

Camera of 5MP and 4x zoom is something that is also surprisingly good about this model, with resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels you will capture images of very good quality, but you will have to satisfied with VGA quality for video recording.

Display is 2.4inch TFT resistive touchscreen, which is not very big, but it will work for most of functions.

Battery life is not so strong element of the Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type: Li-Ion 860 mAh will give you up to 408h in 2G and 3G calling, and up to 28h of music. It looks like Nokia still have problems with batteries, because for this classical phone energy is squeezed out by touch screen.

In the end, we can say that this is model for average users, with basic needs of communication but with a small turning towards web browsing. You can use this model for music or radio listening, using touchscreen to to easily navigate your favorites. It's not leader of new smartphones wave, but is interesting combination.
