Android in U.S. military
No, people it's not a joke.
Government of USA is taking one step forward in top security. It's not about some semi solution, although there was some Pentagon activities where they approved use of devices based on the Android platform.
[caption id="attachment_1015" align="aligncenter" width="374" caption="Android in US military"][/caption]This time, they are very serious and CNN broadcasted the news that US military is testing devices based on Android platform for some time, and they need confirmation that it's safe to use. Couple of reasons for this decision is in Android flexibility and wide range of modifications. Apple didn't agree to "give" security code for their iOS, so adjustments couldn't be made.
The only obstacle for Android to wear military uniform is safety of calls, but there is no doubt that this problem be fixed soon. Don't be surprised when you see a soldier how is he changing a status on Facebook, while holding a rifle. :)
