Nokia Asha 501 review
Nokia Asha 501 design
Nokia Asha 501 design is close to some Lumia models. Its rounded edges greatly resemble the more expensive models of other family. The similarity between the two classes of the phones can be seen by the fact that the Nokia Asha 501 is made in six colors: cyan, bright red, yellow, light green, black and white. Nokia Asha 501 is a bit chubby phone with 121mm in waist, but still phone is practical and does not seem too large. On the contrary, its size makes him likable. Nokia Asha 501 is very light (less than 100 grams). When the build quality is concerned, Nokia done a great job. Phone works just fine. Matt surface looks nice, no matter you look or hold the phone. All standard keys (except the camera button) are located on the right side, a misroSD and SIM card slot are located under the battery.Nokia Asha 501 display
LCD screen of 3 inches with a resolution of 240x320 pixels certainly will not impress anyone. Due to low resolution it's easy to spot the big pixels (133 per inch). The picture is quite blurred. An additional problem is exposure to sunlight when it’s almost impossible to see anything.Nokia Asha 501 software and interface
This phone works on something more modern version of the Series 40 OS. Since there is only one physical back button, all operations are done by swipe. The menu looks simple and smoothly. The keyboard is pretty good, considering that the screen is small and of poor quality. There are also 40 free EA applications, or simple Java games. A real pleasure is the Maps application Nokia HERE!Nokia Asha 501 specs and performance
This phone amazingly works nice and smoothly. A little waiting is possible during the opening of a gallery or browser. This is the real thing if you know that the Nokia Asha 501 has only 64MB of RAM. When the internal memory is about, there is only 40MB, but Nokia left the option of upgrading to a maximum 32GB. When it comes to connectivity, Nokia Asha 501 has no 3G connection, but there is Wi-Fi. With a 1200mAh battery, this Nokia offers 17 hours of talk time, which is far above the average. With average use, the charger will be used once in three or four days.Nokia Asha 501 camera
The basic 3.2-magapixel camera does a basic job. Photos are expectedly poor, but good for uploading to social networks. The colors are very poorly presented, and there is a lack of details. The camera works without a flash, so these results are reasonable.Nokia Asha 501 conclusion
Nokia Asha 501 is a budget-entry phone. However, for a similar price there are some Android models that offer more functionality, with many more applications. However, Nokia fans will appreciate this phone. Large selection of colors and eye-catching design by affordable price can be a win-win combination. Nokia Asha 501 is the right phone for you if you do not care about apps, but want to use a classic phone for calls, messages and e-mails. Photos and videos:nokia.comKategorier
