Sony Xperia Miro is a high performance phone
Presenting the Xperia Miro
“Sony Xperia Miro is the best middle class Android device ever”, said one user of this phone. Icouldn'tagree more with this statement. Sony fulfilled its promise, and after a period of “bombardment” of the market with quite a few high class devices, decided to cover the part of the market that prefers cheaper phones but also need all the benefits that a good Android phone provides. The work of this Japanese company resulted with a fantastic phone, and they named their product Sony Xperia Miro, a high performance phone..Design and dimensions
Xperia Miro is a high performance phone and it presentshow a mid-range mobile phone should look like. The design itself won’t knock you of your feet with some unseen solutions, but the build quality is obviously high, and the phone gives a sense of compactness and a device that is built to last. The manufacturer of this phone produced it in black, pink, white/silver and yellow/gold so we think that every taste can found a satisfactory color combination .The body of the phone is made out of plastic, with front bottom metal plating, while the back is entirely made out of unpolished plastic that avoids slipping in hands, and makes the using of this phone easy and comfortable even with one hand. The dimensions of this phone are 113 x 59.4 x 9.9mm that places this phone between the smaller ones, and its weight of 110 grams gives this phone a feeling of “fullness” and the already mentioned compactness. On the front of the phone, under the display, 3 touch sensitive keys can be found, a side button volume rocker, and the phone lock button on the top of the phone. This phone has a pretty useful LED signal light that notifies whether you have a missed call, a Facebook message or you need to charge the battery. The camera is well placed and elegantly fitted in the back cover of the phone increasing its protection. The display of this model is a 3.5inch LED Backlit LCD touchscreen. The size of the display is acceptable, not too big and not too small, but the resolution of 320x480 (with 165 ppi pixel density) has to be criticized because the reading of smaller font text could be a challenge for impaired eyesight of older people for example. The praised side of the Xperia Miro’s display is the quality of its colors , excellent contrast, high viewing angles, and the ease of the outdoor usage even in strong sunlight.Interface and functionality
Sony Xperia Mirois a high performance phone , and it isn't just a phrase thanks to the Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS that this phone runs. Exactly the choice of the operating system is one of the main reasons that made this phone so great, and Sony made the right decision when “enriching” Xperia Miro with the ICS. The phone uses the well known Timescape UI which focuses on the simple and easy social network (Facebook andTwitter access, chronologically arranging the events on these networks. This model comes with (out of box) 5 possible home screen options, that can be further arranged with various widgets, the pictures and video clips are (again thanks to the Timescape) chronologically arranged, and these pictures and videos can be marked by time and place of their creation thanks to the geotaging possibility of this phone. [caption id="attachment_2953" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Sony Xperia Miro runs with Android (Ice Cream Sandwich)[/caption] The Xperia Miro is well packed with numerous applications such as the energy saving mode which when activated , automatically shuts down a number of active applications and lowers the brightness of the display extending the battery life in this way. Also, The Xperia Miro uses a useful application called the “Smart Connect App” that activates when a certain action is taken or application started. For example, when you connect your headphones, the phone automatically starts your music player, or the activation of the alarm clock when the phone is connected to the charger at night.Processor and memory
Xperia Miro is equipped with a Snapdragon processor of 800 MHz with Adreno 200 graphics. This "technical combination" has proven to be quite good, and we did not experience any difficulties while using the phone, or applications, at any moment, so this phone runs smoothly enough. Sony Xperia Miro is a high-performance phone and we found it as a fast and efficient mobile device. Game lovers will also be pleased with this model, because Miro deals even with demanding 3D games just fine. This model comes with 512MB of RAM, but we highly recommend the purchase of additional memory because from the 4GB internal memory, 2GB is reserved for music, or pictures storage, the system uses about 1.3, and only 768MB is available for apps.Connections
As for the supported types of connections, this model supports Wi-Fi and 3G (also has GPS navigation). Web browsing is a pleasant experience thanks to ICS and Google Chrome browsers. This model supports You tube files, zooming the web content is solid and fast enough ,and overall we can say that the Xperia Miro is a high performance phone when it comes to connectivity. [caption id="attachment_2952" align="aligncenter" width="398"] Sony Xperia Miro supports a wide range of applications[/caption]Camera
We left the most important detail of any relevant mobile phone for the end, of course its the camera. The camera is the part of this phone that left the biggest impression on us with its performance . It turned out that his camera of 5MP with autofocus is capable of snapping images thatwouldn'tembarrass any mobile phone user. The Color balance of pictures taken with this camera is excellent, and the detail richness in the pictures is outstanding. The only gripe with the Xperia Miro’s camera refers to the slightly slower autofocus, the time it takes to sharpen the camera image is not instant, but it is certainly in the limits of tolerable. Video recording did not particularly fascinate us, but when the class, and the price of this model is considered, we can’t really be unsatisfied. Conclusion
When we consider this model as a whole, and we consider its price (because after all, its an important aspect as any other, when choosing a device), we conclude that the Sony Xperia Miro is a truly remarkable device, that Sony proved again that it can recognize the needs of the market, and finally, that Sony can produce a high quality Android device for a reasonable price. We are confident in customer satisfaction with the Xperia Miro, and predict a great customer response to this phone. What are your experiences and/or opinions related to this phone?
