Apple AirPods - Reinventing Headphones
Are Apple AirPods first wireless headphones on the market?
Wireless Bluetooth headphones have been around for a year now, so Apple AirPods are not an entirely new product. Most of the famous headphones manufacturers (Beats, Sennheiser, Sony, Plantronics, and others) already have their models of wireless headsets, so Apple actually joined the crowd. The wireless Bluetooth headphones are quite good in quality and performances. They are fully functional, and they have been made for different purposes (running, gaming, etc.) and they are quite ergonomic and handy. So, the only genuine novelty that AirPods introduce is design. How AirPods looks like?
AirPods looks much like old EarPods - they are white, and they have the same design of the ear piece. They have a long white extension at the end that is used as a microphone and they donćt have any cables. The design of AirPods is one of the most controversial topics online these days (you have probably seen one of these) and the internet just don’t seem to like them. But, again there are a lot of Apple fans who can’t wait to get their hands on the new gadget. AirPods are shipped in a lovely dental-floss-like box that is also an AirPods battery charger. This charger is giving up to 5 hours of juice to headphones. Headphones alone have another 10 hours of power when fully charged, so you’re very well equipped. How AirPods works?
AirPads are quite simple to use - as soon as you open the box where they are stored they will connect (via Bluetooth) with your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch automatically. Just tap “Connect” and you can put them in your ear and start enjoying some music. The main reason of such a seamless connection is a new W1 chip that Apple used to build this gadget. Such a powerful chip opens the door to a whole new world of wireless usage in our homes and everyday life. It will be interesting to see what are the other applications that Apple have in mind for the great W1. In case you want to do something different while you have your AirPods on, you need to tap them twice, and Siri will get in touch. You can ask her any question, and she’ll answer, with no need to take the AirPods off. Another great thing about AirPods is that they will get automatically off once you get them out of your ears. Also, you can use only one earpiece to make some phone calls and use it as you would use any other Bluetooth headset. But, if you want to listen to some music you need to have both pieces on your head. Can AirPods work with some other devices?
Yes, AirPods can be paired (via Bluetooth) with other devices, such as Samsung mobile phones and different tablets. This means that you can use them even if you’re not an iPhone and Apple devices user. Unfortunately, when used with other devices AirPods can’t demonstrate all of their powers - double tap is not working, and they will not be turned off automatically when removed from the ear, but they will still be able to play some quality sound. When will AirPods be available for purchase?
All that we know is that AirPods will be available in late October. This is an official information from Apple website. We hope that we will know the exact date soon.Has Apple made to reinvent the headphones?
Well, the answer would be "Not exactly" What they make it doing is to put wireless Bluetooth headphones in the center of media attention and to make them topic number one online. We still don't have our final justice on AirPods. We’ll wait to get them in our hands before we could say anything for sure. And you? What do you think about the latest Apple novelty?
