Sony, and their competitor for Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5
There is no need for much talk about Sony's productivity when mobile phone developing is in question. Since their Sony Ericsson split, this company managed to reclaim and improve their image of a top mobile phone production company, with a great number of high quality devices produced, but also a great number of satisfied customers worldwide. Sony did not had to wait for long to place itself among the world’s leading mobile device producing companies like Samsung or Apple, and released a statement that they are working on a competitive phone for the high end Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple's iPhone 5. [caption id="attachment_3078" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Sony makes a statement that should concern the competition[/caption] Dennis van Schie, director of sales and marketing for Sony Mobile Communications explained in an interview with the Financial Times Deutschland, that Sony is preparing to present a high end phone at next year's CES (Consumer Electronics Association) which is scheduled for January, and at the MWC (Mobile World Congress). According to Dennis van Schie, Sony is not planning to manufacture Windows Phone Operating system phones in foreseeable future, and instead Windows phone OS devices , they will focus all of their energy to Google platform based Android operating system phones. [caption id="attachment_3076" align="aligncenter" width="300"] The alleged Sony C660X "Yuga"[/caption] Some rumors emerged about new Sony devices that are about to see the light of day, but the only smartphone that fits the description of an edge technology phone, is the Sony C660X "Yuga". "Yuga" should work with a quad core Krait processor, it’s supposed to be equipped with the famous 13MP camera, and a great 5-inch display. From our (rich) business experience, www.mobileshop.eu company knows that such rumors should be taken with a dose of suspicion, because, until recently, the Sony C650x Odin was mentioned as Sony's flagship in 2013, and so far nothing came out of this (dis)information. "We will also introduce a few tablets in addition to the existing Xperia S, but really just a few" said Van Schie. The reason for the "lack of interest" for tablet production is a tough competition when it comes to tablet market, and according to Van Schie, it is very difficult to make money on a tablet.
