How to save your contact list from your Android phone?
Do you remember a time when no mobile phones were around and we used to write all the contact numbers in an address book? Some of you might say: “Those were the days”, but only the ones who forgot to bring their tiny address books with them or even lost them know how tiring must have been to rewrite all the phone numbers again. Today you have a simpler way to preserve the contact list- mobile phones, SD cards and Google accounts! So you have 2 in 1 in your pocket: an address book and a phone. But what to do when yourmobile phone brakes down or it gets stolen? There is a great possibility that you will lose your entire contact list from your mobile phone. Today we will tell you how to prevent this from happening by showing you how to save your contact list from your Android phone. Save your contact list on Google Do you have a Google account? If you have an Android phone and you still have not got a Google account, we think you should start using its services right away. Why? Google offers to Android users a service completely free of charge: Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive, etc. By creating a Google account you will automatically get an email address and an online address book where you will be able to save your contact list. Follow these steps and your contact list will be saved on your Google account for ever:
Click on “Settings” on your mobile phone where it can be found among application or on your start menu.
Then from the drop-down menu find and click on “Backup and reset”.
Make sure you activate the “Backup my data” option.
We advise to choose your Google account where to save the contact list.
Insert your Google info (email address) and your phone will start the synchronization
In order to make sure that the entire contact list is saved on your Google account, we recommend going to your account and checking the “Contact” option. If all the phone numbers are stored than you have done a good job, but if they are not, our suggestion is to wait a while since some mobile phones are not as fast as you may think. This is a great way to save your contact list since it allows you to have all the important numbers (and other relevant data) on a very secure place. Whenever you add a new phone number to your contact list on your mobile phone, this will automatically appear on Google Contact. When you will buy a new mobile phone you can move the contact list from your Google account to your new mobile phone(or phablet, tablet). All you have to do is to log in to your Google account from your new device and the contact list will automatically start the synchronisation. Save your contact list on your SIM or SD card You can save your contact list offline also, by transferring it to SIM and SD card. First thing that you have to do is:
Open the contact list on your phone
Click on the menu button and a window of options will appear
From the window click on Import/Export contacts
Your choice will be the next: - Export to SD card or Export to SIM card
After the final step your entire contact list will be saved on your SIM card or SD card. We suggest that you also make a copy of all the contacts online (Google Contacts) because you never know if you can lose the SD card or your SIM card gets damaged. After all we think that a secure way to save your important data it is by saving it online. Well this was easy and if some of you still have not saved the contact list by now, today will do just good. You never know what it might happen to your devices. Let us know if you have some misunderstandings when your phone is concerned and we will make sure to write a great article about it!
